Select by span, height, crane requirement and roof pitch. Each frame can be bolt-connected or welded, with hinge or rigid knee joints.

Portal Frame

Uniform cross section beam-column, local haunching at node. Various changed slopes of bedding plant pitch, apply to smaller span construction. Heel can be hinge joint, also may be rigid connection.
