Everything importers, project owners, and developers commonly ask before working with Vikkins for the first time.
What is the minimum order size?
There is no fixed minimum. We work with individual building projects from single cold rooms (50 m²) to multi-building industrial complexes (50,000+ m²). Very small orders may be combined into consolidated shipments to reduce unit logistics costs.
How long does a typical project take from order to delivery?
Standard projects: 30–45 days fabrication + 15–35 days shipping depending on destination. Complex or large-tonnage projects: 45–70 days. We confirm exact lead times at the quotation stage. Design approval typically takes 5–10 days before production can start.
Do you provide installation on-site?
We primarily supply and export the complete building kit (structure + panels + accessories + bolts). We provide full installation drawings, numbered component lists, and remote technical support throughout installation. For selected markets, we can arrange an experienced installation supervisor to be on-site during erection — please enquire at the quotation stage.
What shipping terms do you offer?
We work on FOB, CIF, and DDP terms depending on the destination and client preference. We handle both FCL (full container load) and LCL (less than container load) shipments and assist with all export documentation including packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and commercial invoice.
Can you design to local building codes?
Yes. We design to GB (China), AISC (USA/Americas), EN/CE (Europe), and AS/NZS (Oceania) standards. For countries with specific local codes (e.g., NBR in Brazil, IS in India), we can adapt designs with input from your local structural engineer and supply full structural drawings and calculations for local authority approval.
How do I get a quote?
Fill out our online quote form (button below) with your building dimensions, type, location, and intended use. Alternatively, send us a WhatsApp message or email. We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours (Mon–Sat). Our Montréal team covers Eastern Time business hours, and our China factory team covers Beijing time business hours — between us, we offer near-24-hour coverage for global clients. We can provide a preliminary indication of cost and lead time in the first response without needing detailed drawings.
What payment terms do you accept?
Standard payment terms: 30–50% deposit upon contract signing, balance before shipment or against copy of bill of lading. For large projects, milestone payment schedules can be discussed. We accept T/T (telegraphic transfer) bank wire and L/C (Letter of Credit) from established banks. All transactions are denominated in USD.
Do you allow factory visits and third-party inspection?
Absolutely. Factory visits are welcome at any time — contact us to schedule. We fully cooperate with third-party inspection agencies including SGS, Bureau Veritas, and Intertek during fabrication. Our ISO 9001 system includes full traceability of raw materials and welder qualifications for inspection review.
What certifications do you hold?
Vikkins holds ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), and a Level II Steel Structure Engineering Contracting Licence issued by China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Certificates are available upon request for tender submissions.
Can you supply just materials, or do you supply full building systems?
Both. We can supply individual product lines (structural steel only, panels only, floor deck only) or a complete building kit that includes the steel structure, roofing and wall panels, doors and windows, fasteners, and accessories — everything needed to erect the building. Most clients prefer the complete system for simplicity and quality consistency.
How is packaging and container loading managed?
All components are marked with piece numbers matching the installation drawings. Steel sections are bundled, wrapped in plastic film, and secured with steel strapping. Panels are stacked and shrink-wrapped on pallets. We prepare a detailed packing list showing the position of each piece in each container, which is provided to the site team before arrival.
What after-sales support do you provide?
We provide dedicated technical support throughout installation via WhatsApp, email, and video call. If missing or damaged components are identified on-site, we supply replacements at cost. For warranty issues relating to fabrication defects, we address these directly. Our Montréal office handles after-sales communication for the Americas market.
